The Swiss Chocolate Hotel in Lausanne presents a unique design inspired by the fantastic story of the Swiss Chocolate Industry. A Chocolate Fountain welcomes you at the entrance and Chocolate beans decor tells you good night in your room. In a new building built in 2023, you will find 63 affordable rooms of the following types, single, double, triple and one quadruple rooms.
The rooms are equipped with a TV and a safe, some offer superb views on the lake or on the cathedral. All rooms are non-smoking. Hi speed Wi-Fi access is free of charge throughout the building. Particular care has been taken to ensure a great night’s sleep by means of efficient soundproofing, high-quality bedding and healthy building materials. Our fitness is free of charge.

There are no minibars in the rooms. The fridge in your room is empty and not switched on. At the reception you can buy drinks and snacks.
You can simply switch it on when you arrive if you need to store something in it.
Air conditioner :
In summer, between June and September, the air conditioning works.
However, the law “on the energy saving of the city of Lausanne”, prohibits us from starting the air conditioning, if the temperature of the outside air is lower than 25°C.
The air conditioning is only allowed to cool 5°C, less than the outside temperature.
Heating :
In winter, between November and April, simply adjust the temperature with the white control panel, located near the bed.
For a room with a kitchenette, a supplement that can vary depending of the season.

The compulsary City tax will be charged separately on top of the room rate. The price is CHF 5.50 per person per night.
Usual cancellation/no show policy for individuals bookings.
Unless differently mentioned and agreed at the time of booking, our cancellation and no-shows fees are as follow:
- Cancellation is free of charge if cancelled until 00:59 am (00h59) the day of arrival (Swiss time). If cancelled from 01:00 am (01h00) on day of arrival, the first night will be charged.
- No-show: The first night will be charged in case of no-show and the reservation will be cancelled.
- Early check-out (less nights than reserved): If you decide to shorten your stay before noon, you will receive a refund for the unused days minus 35% administration costs. These costs cover the price difference (longer stays generally get better rates than shorter stays), loss of sales (it is not obvious to find a new customer for your room at short notice), as well as various costs such as credit card commissions and other commissions…

Check-out time is 12:00 p.m.
Late check-out is available until 3:00 p.m. at the latest.
The supplement is:
– 12:01 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. = CHF 30.-
– 1:01 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. = CHF 60.-
– 2:01 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. = CHF 90.-
– from 3:01 p.m. = Price of the normal next night with 5% discount.
Late check-out must be agreed with reception before 12 p.m. at the latest on the day of departure.

Parking space available at the nearby “Parking Mon-Repos”. The parking offers a special rate for the client of the hotel at CHF 15.- per night. After having parked your car at the parking and when you do your check-in at the hotel, our receptionnist will give you a ticket that confirm that you are client of our hotel. Show this ticket when you take your car to receive the special condition. This offer is made by the parking management and is subject to change according to the parking management decision. The hotel is not liable for this offer.
The hotel does not have parking spaces for bicycles.
However, there are free parking spaces for bicycles in nearby public spaces, such as: Rue Marterey.
